A common form of dementia of unknown cause, usually beginning in late middle age, characterized by memory lapses, confusion, emotional instability, and progressive loss of mental ability.

The mission is to eliminate Alheimer’s disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all of those affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through promotion of brain health.

A progressive nervous disease occurring most often after the age of 50, associated with the destruction of brain cells that produce dopamine and characterized by muscular tremor, slowing of movement, partial facial paralysis, peculiarity of gait and posture, and weakness.

Organization focuses on research, patient support, education, and raising public awareness of the disease in order to “ease the burden and find a cure.”

A chronic degenerative, often episodic disease of the central nervous system marked by patchy destruction of the myelin      that surrounds and insulates nerve fibers, usually appearing in young adulthood and manifested by one or more mild to severe neural and muscular impairments, as spastic weakness in one or more limbs, local sensory losses, bladder dysfunction, or visual disturbances.

The society helps people affected by MS by funding cutting-edge research, driving change through advocacy, facilitating professional education, and providing programs and services that help people with MS and their families move their lives forward

The most frequent causes of these injuries are motor vehicle crashes, violence, falls, sports, and recreation.

Think First programs educated young people about their personal vulnerability and the importance of making safe choices

The message is: You can have a fun-filled, exciting life, without hurting yourself if you “ThinkFirst.”
