Government policy impacts who we, as OTs, can see, how and where we can see them, and how we get paid to see them. AOTPAC gives occupational therapy a voice in government and helps to protect our profession. Example: Bill 110 would have allowed athletic trainers to treat clients that would otherwise be candidates for occupational and physical therapy. We fought this bill in Louisiana and won, but it will be back to threaten the jobs of OTs and PTs statewide. |
